Many aspiring pornography stars ask themselves “How do I get started in porn?” There are several ways to get started with porn in Massachusetts. This is a frequently asked question that seems to have very few answers online, so we thought we would put together a list.
Here is a quick summary of how to get into the adult industry in MA. I will go into more detail on each point below but here are the basic options in no particular order but number 1 is our clear favorite!

You get some free portfolio exposure to verified pro and amateur producers and we negotiate the highest rate possible for you as a performer. All you need to do to get started is fill out a basic form and can get exposure for free, almost immediately.

How Does It Work?

When you sign up, you are given a filmed interview that lasts about 30 min. You will talk about your likes and dislikes, show off your body and mention any particular skills and niches you might be particularly interested in.
After the initial interview, you will either provide or be paired with someone for a quick demo. The demo is not required but does help with getting hired as it shows how you interact with your partner and a camera. Doing a demo with a stranger is always preferred as most of the time you will be partnered with a stranger for a video. We provide demos for women and TS for free. Sometimes demos are paid, especially if the producer is asking for a very specific kind of demo, or one of the male performers needs a demo and you are willing to add to your demo portfolio as well as make a little extra money. I hate to break it to you guys, but you are essentially worthless in the porn industry. I know, I know, but you are special because of your “cock size”, “stamina”, “muscles” etc. etc. No you aren’t. The most sought-after man is girly-looking super small guys. If you are one of those, then there might be a place for you. Otherwise, there are literally millions of men just like you… But MAYBE you ARE unique and you just KNOW it. Well in that case, we are willing to take a look at you, set up an interview, and make a demo… for $1,000. If you are unwilling to invest in how sure you are, why would we? Before we charged for applications from men, we easily got 100 applications per day some days. Inboxes filled with penises. They got deleted without being read or even looked at. Again, a dime a dozen. Sorry for the bad news.
Option 2: Check Out Adult Film Casting Sites For MA
This is not my favorite option. This should be fruitful, but it often isn’t. There are very few local companies on these sites, but there are a lot that are willing to fly you out to them… IF you have the exact look they need.
I would recommend checking these and applying if you see something that intrigues you.

This is a relatively new option but it should grow as more users in the industry find out about it. As of now, there isn’t much in MA, but we hope to help change that, as this is the site we will be using.

This site is very expensive to get onto to post a job posting, so the good thing about it is that most will be serious about hiring.

This is a newer site that is basically copying Craigslist, but has not been widely adopted. Because it is free to post however, I suspect in the near future it will be a good resource to utilize in the future. (Other states are catching on, unfortunately MA is a little slower)

This site can sometimes surprise with some good casting offers. While drastically in need of an update, this site can have some legitimate options as well, if you can find something locally.
Option 3: Become a cam girl/guy/trans
This might, or might not, seem obvious, but working a cam well can not only make you decent money, but it can also expose you to potential producers, if you are popular enough. Many current porn stars started out on Cams. Its easier to get found than stripping, because the exposure is so much higher.
What are some good Cam sites to get exposure AND put some extra cash in your pocket in the meantime?
My recommendation would be to find cam sites that are building a good base now. Also, have a niche to work. “Hot girl” likely will not get found among the millions of other hot girls. Find a unique shtick.

Option 4: Build a Pornhub following
This is a cool, and relatively new and unknown option. Like YouTube, Pornhub now allows users to monetize their videos. That puts ads on them. So you could start a following on Pornhub and do pretty well with advertisements. In fact, many amateur producers are making a ton of money on their channel doing niche pornos, and are starting to make a dent in the traditional porn industry.

Option 5: Become an escort
This is NOT my favorite suggestion and is one that is given with a grain of salt, BUT it is an option for some in the sex industry, especially if you want to test the waters without actually committing to being permanently out there in the industry. I am not advocating doing anything illegal. There are a lot of opportunities for companionship, fetishists, and sexy housework, like nude cleaning, and like with other suggestions, I would recommend finding your niche.
This option can have a lot of risks and it is important that you do not take this decision lightly. There are a lot of reputable local services that are always offering employment. While you might not make as much with an agency, many good ones have a process for eliminating potential risks to your physical safety and freedom. I am not going to recommend any particular escort agencies here, but a Google search should provide some good ones in the tri-state area.
If you are on the fence about the adult industry we have a new option for women to dip their toe, so to speak, and participate in “Anonymous Porn” where all identifying features (face, tattoos and scars) are removed from the videos with special care taken not to record them at all if possible.
